Plymouth Plantation

In the seventeenth century, the English sailed to Plymouth Massachusetts on the Mayflower. They came to avoid religious persecution and to seek religious separation from the Church of England. The English are now known as the Pilgrims. They were the first people who immigrated to America. Plymouth is now a very famous area in Massachusetts.

A few years ago, my family and I visited the amazing Plymouth Plantation in Massachusetts. It was very interesting to actually feel like you were in the 1700s as a Pilgrim. Plymouth Plantation is a museum dedicated to the Wampanoag and Pilgrim colonists. There are replicas of houses mostly made out of wood and even the Mayflower II which was very cool to see.  It is a popular tourist attraction and I recommend it to anyone interested in how the Pilgrims lived in the 1700s.

  2. I really enjoyed reading your writing because you chose a topic that many people are familiar with which makes it easy to connect to. If someone had not been to the Plymouth plantation you provided great images allowing the reader to visualize what the plantation looked like. In the second paragraph you spelt Plymouth incorrectly, I would just look back and correct those errors. other than that you did a very nice job!

  3. Emma, this topic is very relatable because I've also been to Plymouth plantation. I think it was a great experience and really interesting to see how they lived face to face. I would just check over your spelling issues but otherwise it was a great post. Nice pictures too!
